Hi, I’m Daisy.
2021–2024, forever loved
My first years weren’t happy ones. I was kept for breeding, I’d never been outside, and by the time Staffie and Stray Rescue found me I was so poorly that they thought the kindest thing would be to let me go to sleep.
Then, in May 2021, Graham and Maggie came along and said, “We’ll take her.”
That was the day everything changed. For the first time, I felt grass under my paws and sunshine on my back, and I loved it. I’d find the warmest sunny spot and stretch out for hours. I discovered cuddles too, and it turns out I was very good at them. I had a collection of soft toys that were all mine, and I took great care of every one.
Most of all, I found out what it feels like to be loved.
I had three wonderful years with my family before a tumour took me in 2024. It wasn’t long enough, but it was full of everything I’d never had before.
If you’re thinking about giving a rescue dog a home, please do. Even the poorliest pup can turn out to be a sunshine-loving, cuddle-giving best friend.
Love, Daisy 🐾
